Structure of production of JSC 'Quartz'On the enterprise premises there are 5 main and 9 auxiliary workshops:
The main production workshops
MVP station No 1, MVP station No 3 – workshops for the production of glass jars and bottles by glassware forming machines PVM-12A and air-blowing machines BB-7. Container glass is produced by melting the batch of a given composition and formation of products from glass.
MVP station No 2 – shop for the production of glass bottles. In 2005 the company launched a new line making use of the equipment by “Emhart” company (Germany). Reconstruction will increase annual production capacity to 120 million units and improve the quality of products.
CPPS – shop for the production of float glass. Built in 1996, the production is based on thermal forming of glass ribbon on the molten metal, which is the most modern and progressive glass production method. Capacity of the glass furnace is 200 tons per day. In 2002, the company got the production of float glass renovated, the work being done by the “Techint” company (Italy). Consequently, the line annual capacity grew to 10 million m2. Reconstruction let the company increase production figures and improve the quality of the glass.Produced building glass of types M1, M2, M3 and M4 is used for glazing frames, stained glass, furniture, and production of tempered glass for land transport. Glass is manufactured in sizes 800x1300 mm, 1300x1600 mm, 2000x3000 mm, and sizes consistent with the buyer request. Glass thickness ranges from 2 mm to 10 mm.
DSC — Dosing and mixing plant, which is designed for processing of raw materials and batch preparation of given chemical composition and presenting it in a glass melting furnace.
COI— refractories shop, which is designed for the production of dinas refractory products of type D5 and production of dinas refractory products of type DS for laying of glass furnaces, as well as refractory fireclay products of general purpose of types ShUS and ShB.
Auxiliary shops and sites
CMF —plant for metal molds, designed for the manufacture of metal mold sets for the glass containers.
CCC —refrigeration and compressor shop, with installed equipment for production of compressed air in production and auxiliary areas, as well as connecting various pneumatic tools, initializing various automation devices, etc.
NWA — Station of protective atmospheres, which is designed to produce a nitrogen and hydrogen mixture of a given composition, and characteristics, and then feed it into the production of float glass.
CUM — plant of packaging materials, which is intended for the manufacture of plank boxes for the packing of sheet glass.
CSL — central laboratory, which determines the correctness of preparation of the charge, the glass composition for the production of glass containers and float glass.
ОТК — technical control department, which tests products for compliance with regulatory document. The test unit of JSC “Kvarts” is accredited by the State Standard of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The company has implemented and certified the quality management system according to ISO 9001: 2000. Furhtermore, the company received an official confirmation from the Certification Authority RW TUV (Germany) about the positive result of certification.
KIPiA — Shop for control and measuring devices, which is designed to control the production process providing a new automated management system.
The company operates 4 transport units:
- railway (locomotives);
- automotive (trucks, cars, buses);
- load (electric cars, forklifts);
- small-scale mechanization site (tractors, cranes, road repair machinery).
